兩年前看過 Sarah Lai 的首個個展，便即想起辛棄疾的〈青玉案〉。今日再看新作，感受更深。

東風夜放花千樹。更吹落、星如雨。寶馬雕車香滿路。鳳簫聲動，玉壺光轉，一夜魚龍舞。

近年一直在從事設計不同攝影工具的工作。間中靜下來反思，相較幾年前，現在進行攝影的方向跟注重點都稍微不同了。

從前，一直都把周遭的氣氛選擇，並將符合自己所想的截取出來具現；

那時都很介意些準則，傳統。留下雜物在邊界啊，水平不對置啊都是絕不容許的；那個時候，照相機甚麼的只是個中介，都沒所謂。


近年更多接觸、了解不同的照相機，亦多反思攝影的本質以後，感覺就放開了去另一個階段。

現在進一步感覺到人物之間的真切情感，與及自己（在環境中）的渺小，便再也不會用攝影截取環境，去具現自己的意念（那應當是其他媒介的工作）；反而希望回到媒介本質，把拍攝者，環境、被攝體及照相機都融在一起，把整個時空留下。故此，甚麼準則啊，傳統啊便就變得無意義了（美感經驗大概還是有意義的）。

而因此，自己就更不想成為被局限於單一媒介裡的「攝影師」了；從事藝術的人，從來都不應該被媒介局限的。
當然，繼續深化自己喜愛／擅長／熟悉的媒介，是每天都應該進行的哦！

是講一個外表平常，但內裡卻裝有發條的橙...
也即是偽造品，但外表和真正的水果沒有分別。
這城裡的人，外表也絲毫沒有改變吧？

像平時生活和交際。
但是...他們的內心...
就像發條一樣空虛！

可以說是「發條蘋果」吧？
因為這城裡的農場多種種蘋果...嘿嘿嘿。

Rental United Open Studio 2011

Every year, thousands of visitors coming to the Fotanian Open Studios link up groups of studios with their visiting routes, and visualise their own open day landscape with their ways of seeing things. In recent years, many open studios no longer show their space in its working status. Instead, they make themselves clean and tidy to receive more guests and satisfy the preference of visitors. Finished... works are properly hung on the wall, waiting for appreciation and photo-taking. This change has brought the open studios closer to traditional gallery spaces, gradually transforming the event of Fotanian Open Studios.

Taking part in the “Fotanian Open Studios 2011”, Rental United will present their first group show, “EXHIBITION”. There will be a white cube resembling the structure of a gallery space, artworks carefully displayed in the homogenous space, and artists as motionless “body sculpture” for everyone’s appreciation. We will try our best to offer you as many choices as possible, and you will be free to choose what you would like to see. We hope that such an overexposure will make your visit enjoyable, give you lots of chances to take pictures, and more importantly, allow you to forget the fact that you are visiting an industrial building and what you expect to see after your long trip travelling here. So, are you satisfied?

夾租團開放日·2011

每到伙炭開放日，成千上萬到訪的觀眾用腳步聯絡出工作室群落，用各自的視線和觀看方式建構出各自眼中的開放日風景。而這幾年來，爲了迎接更多客人，滿足大家的參觀喜好，開放的工作室往往不再以工作狀態示人，反而收拾得乾乾淨淨，將完成的作品安穩地掛在牆上等待觀眾欣賞、拍照。這種與畫廊空間日趨近似的轉變亦漸漸塑造著「伙炭開放日」這件事情。

適逢「伙炭藝術工作室開放計劃2011」，夾租團首次團體展覽「EXHIBITION」盛大開幕：有同畫廊空間無異的白盒子結構，有用心陳設於這個均質空間中的藝術作品，仲有作為「身體雕塑」，靜止不動，讓大家隨意觀賞的藝術家自身，盡力做到任君選擇，想睇乜嘢都悉聽尊便。唔知經由如此地overexpose，能否令大家看得滿足，影夠靚相，更忘記此時正身處工廈，忘記之所以於難得假日，不辭辛苦咁趕來火炭，原本想睇嘅嘢？
